The Romans have a lot to answer for - great statues and artwork. This is a terrific photo Tony and I'm envious that you are surrounded by all this history.
I was born in Augsburg, but only lived in Germany for a few months. I was supposed to have been baptized in the cathedral there, but they decided it was too cold, so I was baptized in the apartment where we lived. I never realized the city was THAT old or that it was names after Augustus Caesar. Someday, I'd like to visit there to see the city of my birth.
A fine Conquerer!
ReplyDeleteNice composition and processing and a very good use of theme.
ReplyDeleteThat statue looks huge...I love how he is surrounded by rooftops...it just makes him seem so powerful!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a giant!
