the statue of the Roman emperor Augustus is to be found in Augsburg in Bavaria;
in fact it's name goes back to him, who founded the city in the year 15 B.C.

  5. I was born in Augsburg, but only lived in Germany for a few months. I was supposed to have been baptized in the cathedral there, but they decided it was too cold, so I was baptized in the apartment where we lived. I never realized the city was THAT old or that it was names after Augustus Caesar. Someday, I'd like to visit there to see the city of my birth.
