Burgundy

The picture of the winegrower is taken in Italy,
the wine is Italian, too.
Ok, it's not Burgundy, but it's how Burgundy might look like.

  1. To quote Omah Kayyam
"And much as Wine has play'd the Infidel,
And robb'd me of my Robe of Honour--Well,
I wonder often what the Vintners buy
One half so precious as the stuff they sell."

  2. Close enough to burgundy for me, and after a few glasses, nobody will care :-)

  3. Chianti goes so well with Italian food. Your composite of the winegrower with the wine bottle and glass is very well done and imaginative.

  5. @ all: thank you for your very kind responses to my mediocre picture, I am not happy with it ...

@ danudin: thanks for the quotation, from which I learned who Omar Khayyam was; just now I ordered a little book with his quatrains via amazon; I like it very much!

@ tchesney: Good Idea, how would I like to do so!

  8. I love these shots of places, people, places and customs that are different from my way of life. Now, I think I'll pour a nice glass of wine and appreciate its humble beginnings. :-)
