Nice arrangement of all the elements in the photo, including the paper wrapper with the bakery name. I bet this is a fried dough type pastry? We have one that is traditional here - it is called a beavertail.
oh, sorry, I forgot to tell it: It's a pancake! Really a pancake, but a very big one. I've got it last autumn at a "mountain hut" when we walked near Mittenwald.
I ordered the pancake because I saw someone having one on a neighbor table, it's a specialty of this hut, but alas the cake was too big for me, it's "folded together" ...
Next time when we go there I'll try ta ask how this kind of pancake is made. ;-)
I have no idea what that is, and sorry i could not find a sound link for the whistling Kite. It is a very shrill sound though!

A pancake? How delicious looking....I'm used to the flat variety, like yours MUCH better!
