  4. Just saw a recipe on another blog for chicken fried steak. This reminds me of that. What is it? Looks yummy.

  5. Nice arrangement of all the elements in the photo, including the paper wrapper with the bakery name. I bet this is a fried dough type pastry? We have one that is traditional here - it is called a beavertail.

  7. oh, sorry, I forgot to tell it: It's a pancake! Really a pancake, but a very big one. I've got it last autumn at a "mountain hut" when we walked near Mittenwald.

  8. I've never seen a ruffly pancake! all of ours are flat. I wonder how they make it?

  9. I ordered the pancake because I saw someone having one on a neighbor table, it's a specialty of this hut, but alas the cake was too big for me, it's "folded together" ...

    Next time when we go there I'll try ta ask how this kind of pancake is made. ;-)
