Comfort Foods

honestly speaking I don't know what "comfort foods" really is meaning,
but these fish in my opinion could come just a bit near to it.

  1. This looks to be the start of a very good dinner.

  2. "Comfort foods" are the things like food that reminds you of childhood, or foods you want when you are sick, or foods that generally make you feel full and happy. I'm sure they vary from place to place, but American comfort foods include things like macaroni & cheese, mashed potatoes, chicken soup, grilled cheese sandwich, etc. So, if those fish remind you of good times or soothe you, they are a "comfort food".

  3. "Comfort foods" is an expression to describe those foods you crave when you feel the need for comfort--when you're sick or sad or lonely. Very often, they're foods that we had when we were children, so they remind us of ta time when we (hopefully) felt sheltered and protected.

  5. The fish themselves don't look comforted. You did an excellent job with composition. Many details.

  7. What a inviting shot! German has so many great words made of several smaller words. Is there one that fits the fine definitions that Gisele and Bobbie gave?

  9. Comfort foods could also include meatloaf, and mashed potatoes and a good hot stew and freshly baked bread or even something that gives you that comfortably full feeling (probably not a green salad in most cases!!)I think some of these fish and some potatoes would comfort me!
