sometimes our neighbor can be more distant than the moon ...
Many years ago I have been proud of having imported
a Celestron 5 reflecting telescope directly from the USA;
the pictures taken with it were hardly better than those
photographed with my Canon Powershot.
Very nice capture of the moon.
ReplyDeletevery nice moon shot. I haven't learned how to do this successfully yet.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!! Love the details and clarity! WOW!
ReplyDeleteLovely shot...you'll have to share your settings...I've never had much luck doing moonshots.
ReplyDeleteYour photo is stunning--and your commentary thought provoking.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot and you're right about the neighbours comment.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE a good moon photo and however you captured this one, it is amazing. So much detail that it just sucks me right in....

ReplyDeleteHere I am with some informations. The picture was taken in 2008 with my since Canon Powershot S5 IS including a teleconverter 1.4x. The camera was set on my tripod, I was using the self-timer. And, of course, I had to take just a series of pictures to find one or two rather well done.
Some EXIF data:
Exposure Time 1/400 sec
ISOSpeedRatings 160
ApertureValue F 3.51
FocalLength 72.00 mm
I did a little sharpening with Elements 5, nothing else.
So fine! I especially like seeing the texture of the edge going to dark.
ReplyDeleteThat is one sharp image Tony, loving this one!
ReplyDeleteI agree with your thoughts about neighbours,,, and the moon is caught perfect with your camera
